Bad Weather Week In Mississippi, Tennessee and Kentucky

I got a short break in the weather to snap this picture of sunshine in the rain in Kentucky.

After leaving the shipping port in Houston, Texas, I made my way through Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky. I narrowly missed the Febuary 5th, 2008  tornadoes that killed many and left destruction all over the states of Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky. I stopped in Holladay, Tennessee to find out that that there were over 50 overturned trucks in Jackson, Tennessee on Interstate 40. I just missed those.

I was lucky and tired. All of the running from them was nerve racking. I’ve rested up and I’m ready to take this load to points unknown in the backwoods of West Virginia. The trip to the jobsite requires an escort. Should be interesting.
