Clean Up Your Computer
Cleaning out all old programs will speed up overall performance and startup times. Many times, I only have a short time to get on the computer while on the dock. I don't want to spend that time waiting on the computer. I cannot leave the computer running all the time because the truck's vibration will burn up hard drives. I want the right programs to start automatically. Programs that are rarely used need to be taken out of the startup and programs that are never used, need to be removed.
I use CC cleaner to delete programs, but you can go to Contol Panel, then Add or Remove Programs to remove them. If you bought a name brand computer, they load them with many useless programs. Do not be afraid to remove them. It's all done as a sales pitch. It does bring the price of the computer down, so don't complain to much. All of the games and trail software should be removed. Even the Microsoft Office trials can be removed unless you plan on buying them.
To fix the startup, go to Start, Run. In the Run box type msconfig. This will allow you to check off programs that are set to load at startup. Use the check boxes to remove the programs you know you do not use. If you do not know what the program is, note them, and remove them. If the system has problems after removing them, check your notes and place them back in. If you forget to not them, just set all programs to start normally and try again.

If after removing programs from start-up, they keep coming back, you have spyware. Use a spyware removal tool for these.
