Steel Warehouse in Carnegie, Pa

I delivered my steel load to Carnegie, Pennsylvania (suburb of Pittsburgh) just before Christmas. The docks here are ancient and getting around with a semi is a little tricky to say the least.

It is interesting to see the old steel mills in Pittsburgh. You have to wonder how an industry that was so strong is now so run down. Pittsburgh has moved on to many more high-tech industries, but these steel mills are still the heart of the city.

Google’s street level maps are a huge help in Pittsburgh. I don’t know if Google knows what a favor they have done for us truckers. Most of the time I can check a route for low underpasses. The problem is that it is slow to load on a wireless internet connection. Sure beats guessing though.
